The Student Activities Office (SAO) :

The SAO provides students with different opportunities to engage in cultural, educational, social, and recreational activities, which are an integral part of the living-learning community at AUI. Students develop their talents, leadership abilities and organizational skills through their involvement and contribution to various clubs and student organizations. Our team accompanies all AUIers in their quest of becoming tomorrow’s Morocco’s leaders. 

Social & Humanitarian student organizations: 

Yō Soy Joy: Bring joy to kids who suffer from cancer and assist them emotionally.  

AUI Psychology Club: Create a safe space for students to open about their daily interactions.  

WEmpower: Inspire, encourage, and empower women by promoting their rights and entrench equality through setting activities, internal discussions, debates, and big events.  

Rotaract: serve others and remote integrity, mutual understanding, goodwill, and peace through the club’s network of professionals and leaders.   

AIESEC: AIESEC is an international organization that strives to achieve peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential. It promotes leadership development in youth as the key to unlocking a better future. It provides young people with opportunities of exchange to develop global citizenship, solution orientation, self-awareness, and empowerment skills.  

Friends of Migrants: Empower young Moroccans and spread awareness about migration and migrants in Morocco and globally.  

International Lions: it is a club that promotes service activities among AUI students and encourages them to develop leadership qualities by organizing and participating in the different club’s events.  

Hand in Hand: Hand in Hand is a humanitarian association that focuses on sustainably developing the region of Ifrane through promoting literacy and health among its population.  

Educational student organizations:

International Electronic Literature: The club aims to encourage reading in a special new way: Electronic Way.  

AUI Debate Club: The club aims to implement fruitful debate competitions within the AUI Community.  

Astronomy Club: The clubs aim to make the astronomy field fun and easy for everyone. All the board members try to provide active learning in an entertainment area.  

Fintech: Since this digital revolution in the financial sector is still brand new, this club will give students the chance to develop their innovative ideas and creations. It is an opportunity for AUI students to stay competitive in the data driven world and be a part of its future workforce.  

Enactus: The club aims to promote social entrepreneurship within the AUI community through webinars, workshops, & big events.  

Trading Floor: It is a club that brings AUI students interested in trading together. They focus on operating on financial markets.  

Model United Nations: Popularize the activity of formal academic debate in the community and inform about the activities of the United Nations and model them.  

Computer Science for Innovation: The club aims to bring innovative ideas to our AUI community in all domains related to computer science.  

Student Alliance for Ethics: The Student Alliance for Ethics at Al Akhawayn University aims to be a unique student driven unit in which students will play a proactive role to spread theoretical and practical awareness about ethics and morality.  

Photography Club: To give an understanding of the fundamentals of how to take photos and show the university the work of the students as a team.  

Thoughts and Creativity: The club aims to help the AUI students pursue their creative endeavors through events, workshops, & meetings.  

Game Jam Club: The club aims to provide workshops & training to its members and the AUI Community about game development.  

Association of Computing Machinery: Introduce the world of competitive programming to the AUI Community while providing effective training to the members.  

Marketing Club: Raise awareness about marketing in the AUI community.  

Moroccan Politics Club: The mission of MPC (Moroccan Politics Club) is to raise awareness about political, social, and economic issues in Morocco by promoting discussion in a framework that guarantee the freedom of speech.  

AUI Compete: AUI Compete Organization organizes competitions in different subjects for brilliant Moroccan students; the winners get rewarded.  

Chronicle: Chronicle brings together students and writers to apply their skills in sharing news around Al Akhawayn Campus.  

UAV: A club known as Unmanned aerial vehicle that aims to assist AUI students to learn how to build drones and use microcontrollers.  

Cultural student organizations: 

Islamic Art & Culture: This club is meant to create a friendly space where students of all backgrounds can learn about and discuss topics related to Islam as a religion, Muslims, and Islamic culture and history. We are committed to upholding tolerance, respect, and genuine knowledge of Islam.  

German Club: The club aims to promote the German culture to the AUI community through events, workshops, & collaborations.  

Japanese Circle: The club aims to share with the students the beauty of the Japanese culture through organizing events and social gatherings.  

Arabic Language and Culture: The club aims to spread awareness about Arabic culture and bring them closer to this rich culture.  

Mimouna Club: A cultural non-profit association created in 2007 by young Muslim students willing to promote and preserve the Jewish-Moroccan heritage. The Association has since expanded its activities on a national level to engage in the education of the Moroccan youth about the Moroccan Jewish heritage.  

Aytmaten Club: It tries to promote Amazigh culture on campus through organizing activities like special days, debates, conferences, music nights, classes, and trips…)  

Moroccan Lore’s Club: The Club aims to promote the Moroccan culture within the AUI community through different events.  

Handala Club: The club aims to promote the Palestinian club within the AUI community.  

Korean Club: The club is meant to familiarize AUI students with the Korean culture, allow them to learn the Korean language, create helpful cultural exchange, involve Korean exchange students into the student activities and have fun by the means of different creative activities.  

Hassani Club: represent the Hassani Culture not only as an integral part of the Moroccan Culture, but also as an important part of the North African culture.  

Spanish Club: This club tries to foster the Spanish culture by organizing Spanish classes and different events like flamenco music night, trips to Spain and other.  

Entertainment student organizations: 

Cinema Club: The club aims to provide a place where movie lovers can gather and discuss a variety of movies related to different topics.  

AUI Orchestra: The Orchestra Club is classified under the category of clubs interested in music, but it differs from the rest through the musical style it adopts, which is oriental and Maghreb music. It also opens its doors to teaching musical instruments to perfection.  

Voices United Choir: The club provides training & performances to people willing to sing in groups.  

AUI Records: The club aims to record & produce music & music videos.  

The Gaming Club: The club aims to provide an entertaining environment where people can have fun through playing on consoles, board games, & desktops. It also aims to promote E-sport within the AUI community.  

The Velvet Modeling Club: The mission of The Velvet Modeling Club is to teach its members everything related to the world of modeling: how to pose and walk like a professional.  

AUI Drama Club: Drama club provides a platform to AUI students to express themselves theatrically, pushing their individual boundaries, help them gain an appreciation.  

Rhythm Unity: it is a club where students forming different bands have the chance to experience a Musical Journey through Jamming and Performing at different events.  

DJ: This is a musical club. Its main activities are mixing music and offering DJ music entertainment in different events at AUI.  

Fashion: helps students grow incredible self-esteem, confidence, self-love, and acceptance of their own body.  

Explorers: Explorers club brings together people with an interest in travelling and exploring new and exciting places through hikes and trips.  

Cooking Club: the club brings together people with an interest in cooking to share their talents. It also aims to educate cooking lessons to its members.  

Andalusian Club: the club aims to promote Andalusian culture within the AUI community through musical events.
